Grants & Prizes

The Case Foundation and our partners, Microsoft and REI, are giving away up to $670,000 in grants, software and technology prizes, and outdoor adventures to help social innovators who are dreaming big and taking risks change their communities and the world.

Finding Fearless Winners

From the nominations, the Finding Fearless winners will be eligible to receive the following awards:

  • The winning projects will each receive grants of either $10,000 or $1,500 to take their work to the next level
  • All projects will receive a $25,000 software donation from Microsoft
  • All winners will receive a Microsoft Tech Prize Pack and a $100 REI gift card
  • One winner will be selected to receive a Microsoft YouthSpark Prize featuring a tablet running Windows RT

Fan Favorites

YOU choose who receives these fearless prizes!

  • One $10,000 bonus grant from the Case Foundation
  • One REI Adventure experience for four to Bryce Canyon National Park
  • Each day during Fan Favorite Voting, the project with the most votes will win a $500 Network for Good gift card

Prizes for Voters

  • Each day during Fan Favorite voting, one lucky voter will be randomly selected to win a $50 Amazon gift card and a Be Fearless t-shirt
  • One lucky voter will win a Microsoft Surface tablet!

Microsoft Prizes

The Finding Fearless winners will each receive a Microsoft Windows prize pack and the nonprofits helping them be fearless will each receive a $25,000 Microsoft software donation. Microsoft is also awarding one Microsoft YouthSpark Prize featuring a tablet running Windows RT to a young changemaker, or someone supporting a youth program!

REI Prizes

The Finding Fearless winners will each receive a $100 REI gift card to help them have fun in the great outdoors! Additionally, one lucky Fan Favorite will receive a trip of a lifetime through REI Adventures valued at $5,000. The winner and three friends will get to visit Bryce Canyon National Park through an exclusive camping experience that celebrates having fun outdoors REI-style with the best gear, great food, and incredible guides. REI Adventure’s Signature Camping trip to Bryce Canyon is certain to provide an amazing experience and a lifetime of memories.

The Goldhirsch Foundation Prizes

The Goldhirsh Foundation is proud to support Finding Fearless by providing $20,000 in new grants for Finding Fearless winners, allowing for two additional $10,000 awards to Finding Fearless winners. Also, following the close of the Finding Fearless campaign, the Goldhirsh Foundation will award an additional $5,000 to fearless changemakers from the Los Angeles area, the foundation’s home community.
